Museum Of Contemporary Art

The Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) in Sydney is Australia's only museum dedicated to exhibiting, interpreting and collecting contemporary art from across Australia and around the world.  With a continually changing program of exhibitions there's always something new, exciting and inspiring to see at the MCA.

generationext is a free MCA youth initiative connecting teenagers with current conversations in contemporary art and culture, through a series of social events themed around the exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The generationext program gives young people aged 12-18 yrs the opportunity to visit the MCA independently after-hours. At generationext, they can enjoy contemporary art, live music, art competitions, food and mocktails - mixed with hundreds of other teenagers from across Sydney, who LOVE contemporary art.

generationext is administrated by the MCA and is designed with input from generationext Youth Committee – no teachers, no parents!  generationext events are fully supervised by MCA Learning staff and are drug and alcohol free.
